Music
Music has always been an important part of my life. I have performed with both the flute and piccolo in numerous wind ensembles at the high school, collegiate, and professional civic levels. I also sing, and I have attended and placed at PMEA’s District and Regional choral festivals. I study flute and piccolo under Mr. Edward Wargo, and I study voice under Mr. Ronald Geise.
PBS Artist of the Week
I was selected as artist of the week beginning December 3, 2023 from my local PBS affiliate TV and Public Radio station, WVIA. During the interview, I spoke about the importance of music education in schools. Even though I plan on pursuing a career in the computer/IT field, I will always keep music a part of my life.
Ringgold Band

I love playing in this modern concert band, as we perform a variety of music for various festivals. We primarily perform “Concerts in the Park,” including my favorite Fourth of July celebration at Nay Aug Park, which honors our veterans from all branches of our military.

Marywood University Wind Ensemble
In my senior year of high school, I participated in the Marywood University Wind Ensemble. I have played flute and piccolo under the direction of Dr. Fred David Romines. Below is a photo showing the ending to Dr. Romines’ last performance at Marywood prior to his retirement. In it, I’m playing piccolo for John Phillip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever.”

Keystone College Symphonic Band
For the past 2 years, I participated in the Keystone College Symphonic Band. I have also participated in their Jazz Ensemble. I have played flute and piccolo for both wind ensembles in this outstanding musical group.

Northeastern Youth Wind Ensemble

For the past 3 years, I participated in the Northeastern Youth Wind Ensemble sponsored by Marywood University. I have played flute, piccolo, and piano in this wonderful organization.

PMEA Regional Chorus

From a musical perspective, I consider myself primarily a flutist. Of course, I am oftentimes called upon to serve other musical functions. I also play piccolo, piano, tuned percussion, plus I can sing. One of my favorite choral opportunities occurred while attending the PMEA (Pennsylvania Music Educators Association) festivals.

Not only did I make it to Districts for two years in a row, but I also advanced to Regionals for both years. It was a wonderful experience representing my school alongside students from over 40 other school districts. The songs chosen by the guest choral conductors were amazing!
